Authentiya Classroom Microgrant Pilot Program

Hi there! I'm Ellia Morse, the founder of Authentiya. We're inviting teachers to help shape the future of AI literacy education by piloting our curriculum and AI transparency software.

Authentiya is a platform developed with grant funding from KU Innovation Park to support responsible classroom adoption of AI. It provides teacher and student training on responsible AI use, and lets students use AI on assignments while teachers control how much is allowed and see exactly how it's used.

Selected participants will receive classroom microgrants in recognition of their time and feedback.

Pilot Tracks

How It Works

• Teachers may apply for both the AI-Readiness Class track and the AI-Literacy Course track, but not run both in the same class period.
• For any additional class you teach beyond your first in a given track, you'll receive half the microgrant amount for that track.
• Funding: We've allocated $5,000 to support this pilot round, with the possibility of accepting further applications based on program interest.

Applying

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through August 15, 2026. Apply early, as microgrants are limited by the funding pool. Please email ellia@authentiya.com with the following:

• Short answer (100 word minimum): Where are you and your students at with AI? (Beginners are welcome!)
• Your name and school or district
• The track you're applying for (AI-Readiness Class, AI-Literacy Course, or both)
• The grade level and subject you teach
• The class period(s) you'd like to pilot in, and the approximate number of students in each
• Confirmation that you've reviewed your school or district policies on student use of new tools and on accepting outside payment

We'll follow up with next steps, including access setup and any required approvals.

Participant Responsibilities and Disclosures

• Participating teachers are responsible for ensuring their students are permitted to use Authentiya under their school or district policies, including any required parental consent or data privacy approvals.
• Participating teachers are responsible for confirming that they are permitted to accept outside payment under their school or district policies before applying.
• Microgrants are provided in support of classroom pilot participation. Teachers are responsible for any tax reporting obligations that may apply to funds they receive.

We recognize that districts vary in how they handle outside funds. Microgrants can be issued directly to the participating teacher or routed through your school or district as an institutional payment, depending on what your policies require. If your district needs the grant processed through a business office, foundation, or other administrative channel, we're glad to coordinate directly with the appropriate contact to complete any required paperwork or agreements.
